Starting in Tacoma, we set off aboard my neighbors Irwin 44 Sailboat and did a full Circumnavigation of Vashon Island, It was a beautiful day with light wind, and fortunately for us light clouds, so we were treated to fantastic views throughout the day of Mount Rainier and the Olympics!
On the return trip, we saw a sailboat almost get smashed by the Vashon Island Ferry, it made for a few heartpounding seconds as we waited to see if they would actually collide!
On the way back we saw quite a bit of marine life seals and sea lions, as well as quite a bit of ship traffic from the Port Of Tacoma before rounding the corner back into Commencement Bay finding our way back to the familiar sights of home.
