You never know when your next adventure awaits.Seasickness, compounded by a potentially fatal complication, compelled an abrupt emergency diversion. As it turns out the island we made it after battling into the wind and the waves for ten hours, hold`s special signifiance and provided a unique opportunity to celebrate my mother. Within minutes of docking, I received the heartbreaking news of my beloved Border Collie, Skylie's passing. Skylie, after whom my hyrdrovane was named, breathed her last breath while I, along with Tyler and Julia aboard Sailing Vessell Ramona, battled against the wind.
This episode is dedicated to my mother, whose Memorial service I couldn't attend last year, and Skylie.
