Haulout finished and boat projects continue on land #sailinglife #boatprojects

Ahhhh . not only good to be back in the water, but also to continue with boat projects shirtless and barefoot!

I`m Prepping for the ultimate 2025 challenge! 🚤🌸 After 5 incredible years cruising Japan on my Gibsea 402, I’m gearing up for Chasing the Cherry Blossom 2, a journey to sail the length of Japan during Sakura Season—25 years after doing it by bicycle. 🗾 This haulout in Okinawa is to ready my boat (and myself) for the adventure of a lifetime as I celebrate turning 70! 💪⛵ Follow along for every step of this epic odyssey! 🌊
This is day 14 ( i skipped day 13 as I was on land taking care of some personal matters) of the haul out. I actually splashed on day 8, but on the next day, I discovered a problem, and so tomorrow I have to haul out again.

Life on a Boat Means You Gotta Walk When You Can #japan #coastguard #boatlife
I’m off the boat and getting my steps in—aiming for 10K today while I’m on land. When you live on a sailboat, it’s easy to stay confined, and my doctor reminded me: daily walking is non-negotiable. Tonight’s route takes me past one of Japan’s ...

Living Afloat in Japan’s Rainy Season #BoatLife #NeverTooLate #SailingJapan
Rainy season has arrived in Japan, and that means humid days, provisioning missions, and rowing a few hundred meters to shore. Life on a boat, currently in the middles of remote Bay, isn’t glamorous, but it’s rich in rhythm, reflection, and a good w...
