I left Wahine for a couple of weeks on a very busy road trip. The main reason was to attend screenings of the History Channel Pilot for a new series called Dare to Dream. Happily, I was also able to join my son Mackenzie in Kyoto to celebrate fathers day, go home for a few days in Nagoya to see Kande and SKylie, connect with other Canadians for Canada Day and more fun in the water with my son, Ryan, and family, in Tokyo Bay visiting a quiet cove which happened to my first destination in May 2020 navigating the shipping lanes in Tokyo for the first time.

Hi, I`m Lowell, a 67-year-old rookie sailor, and a never-too-later! I preparing myself for the biggest challenge of my life: a solo journey across the North Pacific. I am a Canadian living in Japan, and in 2019, I purchased Wahine, a 1988 Gib Sea 402. I moved on board while she was moored in Tokyo. In March 2021, I terminated my contract with the Marina and have been cruising Japan full time since gaining valuable experience all the while working remotely from the boat.
