Sailing in Paradise and Transpac 2023 Rounding Catalina #ourladydefiant #yachtracing #sailing
We leave Avalon and get out into some of the anchorages on Catalina Island before motoring up to the west end of Catalina to photograph the 2023 Transpac starts on the day when the fastest class of boats would be rounding that point. We have an uneventful race in Dana Point, and then after another quick visit to Catalina sail under spinnaker down to San Diego.
Our Lady Defiant
We live on our J-133, named Defiant, and sail along the California coast when we're bored of sailing in our home port of San Francisco Bay. We love to race, as well as cruise, so we bought a boat that does both, and we use it for both regularly! We also have a cat, named Whiskey, who we bring along with us for all the adventures.
