Racing 2024 Three Bridge Fiasco ⛵ Jib Halyard Snaps 💥 Mid-Race! #yachtracing #ourladydefiant
This is a race recap of our Three Bridge Fiasco race in 2024. We finished 3rd in our class, after two J-125s and before another J-125, and we finished 5th out of 300+ boats… unless you apply the 20 minute penalty that the race committee thought we earned by entering the starting box too early. Either way, we had a great time, and can’t wait to get out there next year!
We also had a jib halyard chafe through mid-race, requiring a quick halyard change to re-hoist the jib. Fun stuff! Can’t wait to go up the mast and rerun the halyard!

Our Lady Defiant
We live on our J-133, named Defiant, and sail along the California coast when we're bored of sailing in our home port of San Francisco Bay. We love to race, as well as cruise, so we bought a boat that does both, and we use it for both regularly! We also have a cat, named Whiskey, who we bring along with us for all the adventures.
