What do you do when your most critical piece of navigation gear refuses to work? For three months, we have been flying blind on Noeta with a brand-new Airmar Transducer that our Furuno TZT system simply refused to recognize. ⚓
After buying new equipment, swapping cables, reaching out to our viewers, and calling in every expert we knew, we still couldn't get a depth reading. In this episode, we take you through our entire marine electronics troubleshooting process. It was a long road of technical frustration, but we finally have an answer!
While Pat was away flying 737s for Alaska Airlines, Alexa stayed on the boat and went "deep" into the wiring and settings with the help of the experts at Furuno. Watch to see the "aha!" moment that finally brought our depth sounder back to life just in time for our next crossing.
