CAN WE FIX IT AT ANCHOR? 🛠️ Will We Cross to the Mainland? 🇲🇽 (Plus Pat Attempts the Backflip! 🫣)
The pressure was quite literally on this week. Following the chaos of our last episode, we were stuck at anchor in Bahía de los Muertos with a critical dilemma: our main engine's fuel pressure was dangerously low, and we couldn't safely attempt our major crossing over the Sea of Cortez without a fix.
Today, we go to work right at anchor to save our mainland voyage. Thanks to some incredible advice from the legendary Bob Senter (aka Lugger Bob), we actually had the exact spare part we needed hidden away in our inventory. Watch as Pat dives into the engine room to change out the fuel pressure valve, holding our breath to see if our PSI climbs back above that magic 70 mark.
With the mechanical cloud finally lifted, we celebrate with a well-deserved shore excursion to stretch our legs on the Baja sand, and Pat steps up to the plate to try his hand at the infamous dinghy backflip maneuver!
