2-WEEK PASSAGE PREP! ⚓ Shifting Gears for Mainland Mexico + A Full Circle Moment
The countdown is on! We are officially preparing for a 2-week passage to the Mexican Mainland. Crossing the Sea of Cortez and heading south requires a massive "to-do" list, and this week we are knocking out the critical tasks to ensure a safe and smooth journey.
From technical maintenance like servicing the hydraulic system and replacing the dinghy battery, to the logistical dance of provisioning and checking out with the Port Captain, we’re showing you the reality of what goes into a major offshore move. We also head to the fuel dock to scout prices for our next big Nordhavn fueling—because every peso counts when you have a 2,000-gallon capacity!
But the highlight of our week happened on the docks. We had an incredible "full circle" moment meeting Brad, the owner of the Nordhavn "Grey Pearl." His boat was the very first Nordhavn Alexa ever stepped foot on, years before we owned our current boat. It’s amazing how the cruising community brings everything back around!
