(🇫🇷 Juste en dessous ) Hard times these days, for everyone. We’re sending everyone good vibes and remember, everything will be okay! We’re also trying to stay positive. To uplift you, here’s a new episode!
We’re leaving Langkawi after 4 months there to go sailing in Thailand.
BUT, we need to do some “cleaning sailboat hull underwater” … you heard us say that before, but it’s kind of a cruising reality… When you stay at 1 spot, warm water, for a long period of time, well, shells start to grow very fast. A dirt and shelly (is that a word?) hull mean losing a lot of speed ! Hopefully, we found some clear water in Thailand… Magic!
We finally arrived in Phuket, Thailand. We came few times, but it’s the first time with our own sailboat. It feels great! Except that with all this situation, it’s easy to get anxious and frustrated about quarantine… It’s a reality of living aboard: you have a limited visa, but with all borders closing around, where can we go after our 30 days allowed in Thailand? Are we going to do a “stay-on board sailboat quarantine”? At least, we are still on our beautfiul sailboat and enjoying life…

🇫🇷Des moments difficiles ces jours-ci, pour tout le monde. Nous envoyons à tout le monde de bonnes ondes et rappelez-vous, tout ira bien! Nous essayons également de rester positifs. Pour vous bonheur, voici un nouvel épisode!
Nous quittons Langkawi après 4 mois pour partir naviguer en Thaïlande.
MAIS, nous devons faire un peu de “nettoyage de la coque”, car les bernacles y ont établi domicile… vous nous avez déjà entendu le dire, mais c’est une sorte de réalité de vivre en bateau … Surtout quand vous vous restez à 1 endroit, de l’eau chaude, pendant une longue période, eh bien, les coquilles commencent à se développer très rapidement. Une coque sale et coquillière (est-ce un mot?) =perdre beaucoup de vitesse! Heureusement, nous avons trouvé de l’eau claire en Thaïlande … Magique!
Nous sommes finalement arrivés à Phuket, en Thaïlande. Nous y sommes venus plusieurs fois, mais c’est la première fois avec notre propre voilier. Il a l’air de bien aimer! Sauf qu’avec toute cette situation, il est facile de s’inquiéter et d’être frustré par la quarantaine … C’est une réalité de vivre à bord: vous avez un visa limité, mais avec toutes les frontières fermées, où pouvons-nous aller après nos 30 jours autorisés en Thaïlande ? Allons-nous être confinés sur notre bateau? Au moins, nous sommes toujours sur notre beau voilier et profitons de la vie …
