In this episode, we finish our sailing days in Malacca Straits… definitely NOT our favorite spot to sail: so much cargo, fishermen, fishing nets, thunder storms, etc. And of course, we got the BAD IDEA to sail overnight in all of these: DON’T do it. And there was no wind, so we were sailing slowly toward Langkawi, or shall we say, sailing to chocolate paradise! ( it’s a duty free island). Overall we’re happy to finally sail in Malaysia. It changes a bit from Indonesia! But those fishing nets…. At least, we were happy to reunite with Cyril and Magalie on Catamaran Black Lion!
Even though it wasn’t the best spot to sail, we always enjoy to live aboard our boat, even in those conditions: we wouldn’t trade anything for those gorgeous sunsets sailing time or sunrises. Cutting hair on board with kitchen scissors. Enjoying the clim during hot days. Or even go on Malaysian’s islands and climb and explore the luxurious vegetation! And it’s part of sailing around the world. BUT this part of the world is known to have not a lot of wind, so it’s like engine’s party countries. So let’s say it was our last quiet moment before crossing the HARDEST OCEAN of all: the Indian Ocean. This one is no joke. The plan? Check the video till the end to know all about our sailing plans!
