Ep 245 | Finally Fixing the Gearbox in Tropical Cairns, Sailing Nutshell

We finally make it to Cairns after days of sailing up the coast with no main engine power.

It’s a relief to arrive safely.

Magnus quickly gets on to the task of finding out what has caused the gearbox leak.

We take the opportunity to provision Nutshell and do many boat jobs. We head to Bunnings and buy the piping for the new stack packs.

Then, it’s time to say goodbye to Cairns and really head north where there are no large towns.

The adventure now really begins.
