Ep 223 | World Famous Whitehaven Beach, Sailing Whitsundays, Australia

Sit back and relax as we take you on a delightful bush walk up to the Hill Inlet lookout. Hill Inlet is at the northern end of Whitsunday Island and the view of Whitehaven Beach and the Inlet is absolutely breathtaking. So, it’s no surprise that Whitehaven Beach is often described as one of the best beaches in the world.

After admiring the view and taking in the beautiful flora and fauna on the track, we head back to Nutshell.

It’s time to begin to make our way back to Airlie Beach and the end of our two weeks sailing in the Whitsundays, but first we must head through Unsafe Passage which sits between Hayman Island and Hook Island. It’s a difficult passage with strong current and close rocks and reef. It’s another technical passage to manoeuvre through. With the tide against us, but the winding our favour, We aren’t even sure if we will make it or if we will get ejected back out again, but we give it a go!

It’s all fun and games on Nutshell.

That concludes our sailing in the Whitsundays adventure.

We hope you enjoyed the journey with us in this beautiful cruising ground.

See you all next time.

Until then.

Wendy and Magnus
