We do our final preparations for leaving New Caledonia and go through the checking out procedure, visiting all of the government officials that we need to.
We sail from Noumea and head towards the Gold Coast, Australia.
I wake up after my watch to find Magnus extremely quiet, sitting on the floor looking down into the bilge. We have a leak! There’s automatic transmission fluid filling the bilge!
It’s not long before the alternator starts to play up and so Magnus gives it the once over to find out what the problem is.
