We leave Tonga and start the journey to Norfolk Island, via Minerva Reef.
Those of you who are less familiar with sailing and sailing terms may find this episode especially interesting.
Magnus goes up on deck and has a chat about Nutshell’s sails, her winches and her other nautical stuff and how he goes about shaking out a reef in her main sail.
He explains some of the basic sailing terms and systems in simple layman’s terms and shows how Wally works.
He talks about trimming sails and explains what the mizzen does.
