Welcome back to Escapade after a week in Barbados partying it up and exploring the island. With Carnival in Marque on the horizon, we couldn’t resist taking a detour to St Lucia on our way to Martinique. As with all great adventures, our journey was far from smooth sailing.
From Barbados to St Lucia
A week in Barbados had us feeling pretty exhausted, but there was no slowing down. We decided to sail overnight to St Lucia, with plans to stay in Marigot Bay for a night and then head to Rodney Bay for their weekly Friday-night local street party before moving on to Marigot.
Autopilot Issues
Halfway through our journey, we encountered an issue with the autopilot. The auto-pilot’s not working! We managed to temporarily fix it and continued on our way.
Arriving in St Lucia
We arrived at Marigot Bay, ready for some R&R after a challenging sail. Upon arrival, we realized that the anchorage wasn’t as calm and peaceful as it first appeared.
