The Lazy Gecko family has just concluded an epic RV journey across the United States, filled with exploration, racing events for Reese, and delightful experiences at wineries and breweries through the Harvest Host program.Summer may be over, but the memories of this adventurous season will last a lifetime. From participating in national racing tracks to waking up alone in beautiful Hayfields with Harvest Host, each moment has been precious.
A Final Stop at Whiskey Thief Distilling Company
Before embarking on the journey back to their beloved boat, the Lazy Gecko family made a memorable stop at the Whiskey Thief Distilling Company in Frankfurt, Kentucky. The scenic and picturesque location offered a serene and fascinating visit where they not only sampled the 120 proof bourbon but also had the unique opportunity of bottling their own booze directly from the barrel.This experience marked a new first for the Lazy Gecko family – indulging in Kentucky bourbon, an extraordinary addition to their adventure. Their careful selection even included taking home a bottle to commemorate their time traveling across the US.
The Final Leg of the Adventure
As hurricane season draws to an end, and after visiting numerous picturesque locations and engaging in memorable activities, it’s now time for Lazy Gecko to head back to their boat. With new memories, experiences, and perhaps a newfound appreciation for bourbon, they’re excited about the future sailing adventures.Season 13 of Lazy Gecko Sailing is set to commence soon, along with other thrilling upgrades on Calypso, promising more exhilarating content and sailing expeditions.
Looking Ahead
As the Lazy Gecko family prepares for their return to sailing life, they also look forward to catching up with an old friend and embarking on a significant electrical refit of Calypso. This refit will involve installing four chart plotters among other major upgrades.Patrons will get the privilege of complimentary access, ensuring that no one misses out on the excitement.
