If you want to SEE the sail… head to the last video (ep 80) (; Sailing is rejuvenating, yet it can take a lot out of you. I am taking it easy for a few days after the sail but it is time for my honest opinion of how my first long offshore solo sail REALLY went and how I planned the trip. Every cruiser I talk to fears the Mona Passage, and rightfully so… it can get intense; therefore I also wanted to explain why and how you can time this passage with the wind and currents.

I am just a girl who followed her dream of buying a sailboat to sail the world! I took the advice my dad gave me "Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life” and try to live this to the fullest every single day. I graduated college during Covid-19 with a marine biology degree and 100T Captain license. I had worked as a captain throughout college on power boats and was invited to sail with some friends in the Bahamas for a couple months. I fell in love with sailing and this lifestyle more than I thought I could; bought my boat a year later (Dec 2021) intending to charter, but decided to start sharing this beautiful life with you❤️
