Hey there, Kristina here! Today, we’re diving headfirst into the wildest summer boat party of the year – happening right in the heart of the iconic Cannes Islands in France. Join me and my bestie Kelly as we explore hidden underwater sculptures, indulge in mouthwatering floating pizzas, and navigate through the craziest waterside parties you can imagine.
As part of our incredible Western Mediterranean circumnavigation journey, we found ourselves anchored in the breathtaking town of Cannes. Surrounded by luxurious super yachts and a 16th-century castle, we were ready to take on the adventure of a lifetime.
Our Journey To The Islands
We set sail towards two enchanting islands near Cannes, where we planned to dive into incredible underwater sculptures and grab a bite at an infamous pizza boat. Little did we know, our trip would take us on an unforgettable journey filled with excitement, laughter, and a few surprises.
Getting Lost In Translation
What was supposed to be a straightforward adventure turned into a comedic moment when our trusty eSIM from Alo Mobile came in handy. With no physical SIM card needed, we were able to stay connected effortlessly and navigate through any language barriers that came our way.
Underwater Adventures
Diving into the crystal-clear waters, Kristina and John explored the captivating underwater sculptures created by Jason Taylor. This Mediterranean masterpiece took four years to develop, showcasing six mesmerizing portraits.
Party On The Island
The real excitement, however, awaited us on the party side of the island. Imagine a nightclub on the water – with boats filled to the brim, floating pizza kitchens, and delicious mojitos flowing like never before. It was an experience unlike anything we’d ever seen!
Meeting The Pizza Chef
The star of the show was the pizza boat itself. With a 4.7-star review, we finally met Alex, our charismatic chef who delivers over 300 pizzas during peak season! He took a well-deserved break before heading back to serve his mouth-watering creations to partygoers.
Chaos And Fun At The Party
The chaos, the fun, and the wild atmosphere made for an unforgettable day. From the crazy crowds to the beautiful underwater sculptures, every moment was a treasure.
Our Experience At Cannes Islands
This adventure at Cannes Islands showed us that some of life’s best memories come from venturing outside your comfort zone. It reminded us to embrace spontaneity and to look forward to what each day holds – even if it includes a little bit of chaos.

Kristina and John are two Aussies 🦘 who met when they were just teenagers at high school! Kristina went on to become a TV Journalist and John an Airline Pilot flying all over the world.. which is where their passion for travel first began!
We packed up our apartment and took "one-year off work" before purchasing the boat of our dreams!! We documented our adventures sailing around Australia, and when global boarders opened, we began travelling overseas. We've since visited more than 60+ countries!
Kristina is now a full time YouTuber and John a part time Commercial Pilot onboard a Boeing 737 (listen out for his name on your next flight!) and our goal is to explore and share the most incredible destinations by... 🚐🚗⛵️✈️!!
