Adventure Aboard SV Tucana
Kristina is currently documenting her incredible adventures on the 50ft SV Tucana, sailing along Australia’s East Coast. Her partner in this adventure is John Tilley, an airline pilot and talented landscape photographer. Every week, Kristina shares her captivating journey through engaging vlogs, offering a close-up look at her experiences.
Before setting sail, Kristina’s career took her to newsrooms in Darwin, Brisbane, and Melbourne. She reported on significant events, including the Royal Visit of Harry & Meghan and the Australian Open. However, in 2021, she and John made a profound decision. They decided to take a break from their careers and embark on a transformative journey.
Purchasing a 50ft Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 50 DS with minimal sailing experience, they departed from Melbourne. Their mission was to explore Australia’s East Coast, including the mesmerizing Great Barrier Reef, as part of their Australian Sailing Series. These adventures are just the beginning of their dream to circumnavigate the globe.
