I set out for my third attempt in two years to go to Amami. I wanted to use it as a training voyage so I invited two experienced mariners to join me. But our weather window was slim further complicated by an unforeseen electrical problem. In the end, the 400-mile passage was curtailed for now to 100 miles. But there was a silver lining .. . or shall I say MUD LINING.
