5 Days Across the Gulf of Mexico!

Ahoy followers! Go offshore with us as Phillip and I sail our Niagara 35 five days across the Gulf of Mexico in some sporty bluewater conditions on our way to the Bahamas. That’s right, Video Annie is back! Well, under some conditions.

I definitely HAD to take a break last year from YouTube. Trying to film and produce weekly full-length quality videos to earn Ad and Patreon money proved brutal and straining on our ability to actually enjoy our cruising. For that reason, I stepped back and did not produce videos for a while. But, I do love to film and produce, just at a leisure pace that does not interfere with our enjoyment of the experience and not for any pay, just for fun. And, I’ve put together some amazing videos from our voyage to the Bahamas. I have been publishing them on my blog only, but after several die-hard YouTube fans reached out asking me to share them here, too, I decided to do that. Just putting them up for fun, at a slow pace, so you YouTubers can enjoy as well.

But, if you have been craving some HaveWind for a while now and want to get all caught up immediately, be my guest! There are dozens of articles, posts, and I believe about ten videos now from our Bahamas voyage, all just waiting for you there. Feel free to start here (www.havewindwilltravel.com/2018/01/04/bv1-packing-weather-planning-passage-day-one/) and work your way forward through the posts chronologically. In blog time, we’re at Green Turtle Cay right now for New Year’s 2018. Sweet!

I will always write and produce at www.HaveWindWillTravel.com because I love writing, photographing and filming, and I have a passion for sharing our adventures. This video covers one of our more intense offshore runs with 24 hours of 20-25 kts of wind and 6-8 (to sometimes 10) foot seas, but the boat and crew proved more than capable and we had a helluva time laying another 500 nm under our keel on our way to the Bahamas. We can’t wait to share the rest of the voyage with you. Hope you enjoy this first offshore leg! Buckle up! It’s one heck of a ride!
