Worth the Struggle! OFF-GRID BOAT LIFE in the Tuamotus 🤩⛵️
A beautiful sunset swims in the lagoon, fireside chats with friends and one of our favorite activities: foraging for food.
Experience a Magical Time in Paradise
The journey from navigating the rollercoaster ride of losing their rudder to repairing it with their friends was surreal. It’s as if the universe showed them that all their struggles were worth it. In this world where sometimes they don’t know which way is up, you just have to trust you’re on the right path and everything will work out.
Slow Down and Indulge in Simple Pleasures
The group knew what they needed – to slow down and indulge in simple pleasures. Sunset swims in the lagoon, fireside chats with friends, marveling at little critters appreciating the natural beauty surrounding them.
Catch Dinner: Crabs and Coconuts
The team went on a hunting adventure for crabs and coconuts. Together with Brian Kaza Sierra Erica and Warren, they embarked on this exciting group effort to catch their dinner.
Cooking up the delicious crab dish, they used the pasta sauce made with it to share a lovely meal with friends on board. They even enjoyed homemade crab cakes prepared by some of their fellow crew members.
Navigating Two Amutus Waters
After leaving Raukaura, they sailed across the lagoon, keeping a sharp eye out for pearl floats as advised by their friends on other boats. The small bomes in Tuamotus waters are not always visible on satellite charts.
Chasing the Green Flash and The Sunset Swim
Incredible moments like a beautiful sunset or spotting flocks of birds diving for fish remind us to live in the present moment, breathe deeply, and enjoy uncluttered moments while they last. Enjoying each day and experiencing its gifts keeps them going on this remarkable journey.
The Ultimate Destination: Taha
They entered Tahanea’s pass early in the morning, timing it perfectly for a safe crossing. The stunning scenery and calm waters made this uninhabited paradise a dream come true after all their hard work and dedication.
Together, the crew anchored in a beautiful location and enjoyed their time exploring this untouched piece of heaven. Off-grid boat life had never been more rewarding.

After the recent rollercoaster ride of losing our rudder and repairing it with our friends in the anchorage, waking up to a glass calm morning in the Tuamotus was quite surreal. It’s like the universe was showing us all our struggles were worth it. We needed to take a moment and zoom out to recognize how far we’d come. In a world where sometimes we don’t know which way is up you just have to trust you’re on the right path, and that everything will work out. Slowing down and indulging in simple pleasures was just what we needed; sunset swims in the lagoon, fireside chats with friends including @WEsail and @svdelos , marveling at little critters, appreciating the natural beauty surrounding us and one of our favorite activities, foraging for food.
