In this latest episode of Good Deeds Sailing, Ben, along with his family and friend PJ, finds themselves ‘trapped’ in Queenborough due to the ongoing struggle to sell their car. Despite having their boat ready to go, they must wait for the sale to finalize before setting off on their journey.
The inability to leave has proven quite frustrating for Ben and his family. They had expected to be gone by July, but the sale of their car continues to hold them back. As they eagerly await potential buyers, they are forced to stay in Queenborough while attempting to finance their trip.
To make the most of their time stuck in Queenborough, Ben and his team have taken on various boat projects. One such project involved creating additional storage space by placing wood across a shelf to store sprays, liquids, and other items, ensuring they remain protected when the boat is moving.
Despite their current situation, Ben and his family have managed to find some enjoyment in their stay. They took a weekend away to go sailing with Adrian from Sing Sailing in Solent, which will be featured in an upcoming episode.
In preparation for their eventual departure, some belongings have already been moved onto the boat. Their books, winter clothes, tools, and various other items are slowly making their way onto the vessel as they eagerly await the moment they can leave Queenborough behind.
With each day, anticipation grows for Ben and his family as they continue their efforts to sell their car. Once that final sale goes through, they plan to pack up the remainder of their belongings in two days’ time before setting off on their global adventure.
In the meantime, Ben and his family are making the best of their situation. They encourage viewers to keep asking questions and providing feedback in the comments section below. The possibility of a live streaming episode is also on their radar.
In summary, this episode sheds light on the challenges that Good Deeds Sailing faces in starting their global adventure. While waiting to finalize the sale of their car, they continue making preparations and enjoying what time they have left in Queenborough.
