HANG ON!!! Sharks, Dolphins & BIG Waves || Sailing Rangiroa Tuamotu, French Polynesia

Rangiroa has the most dangerous pass in the Tuamotus, yet we’ve chose to sail, SCUBA & free dive all around it.

Rangiroa is known as one of the top places in the world to SCUBA dive. Hammerhead sharks, dolphins, Napoleon Wrasse, reef sharks, eagle rays and manta’s. This little pass is loaded with life.

For sailors Tiputa pass is known as the most dangerous in all of the Tuamotu Archipelago. With the wrong wind direction, a max flood tide or any bad weather and this pass can be impassable. But do your research, plan your timing with the tide and the weather…and you should be ok.

After a week of boat chores and diving we’re sailing out at what we think is perfect time, but oh man were we in for a ride!
