The Final Leg: A Journey Across The Pacific

Navigating Through Rough Seas

As we entered the final leg of our Pacific Ocean Crossing, an unforeseen challenge arose – the roughest night any of us had faced yet. With wind speeds ranging from 20 to 30 knots and massive waves crashing behind us, it felt like we were surfing at over 12 knots, pushed along by relentless gusts.

Sailing Strategies in Stormy Weather

Confronted with these challenging conditions, the crew and I had to adapt our sailing strategies. We were fully reefed, which allowed us to control our speed, preventing damage to the boat or injury to the crew. However, the waves continued to climb over 15 meters high.

Mental Fortitude During The Roughest Night

Navigating these tumultuous waters required not only physical strength but also mental resilience. The crew handled the situation remarkably well, with each member contributing to managing and maintaining the boat during this intense period.

Join us this week as Cole, Steb, Laurent and I battle through the last week of our Pacific Crossing. After a glimpse of hope, the conditions went from bad to worse. We didn't know what would break first, our minds or my boat! Video Edit: @CaptainColeHarrison A Huge Thank you to our Patreons!
