From the cutting room floor!
In last week’s episode we got our new leaky dinghy. While we did show all the leaks, it still held air a few days at a time and we used it on multiple occasions. The original thumbnail (and the afore-mentioned bouncing that I said no one wanted to see) came out of this clip. This was our first attempt at using our new Insta360 X3 camera with invisible selfie stick. We clearly need some practice at how to properly use this amazing tool, but hopefully the footage gets better every time!
We also mentioned that we removed all the old batteries. We REALLY thought we got time-lapse of us winching the batteries out of a hatch using the boom-topping lift, but alas, no footage exists. There were a total of 4 8D batteries, each weighing well over 100lbs and there was no way we were going to try to drag them up the stairs. I used a ratchet strap as a sling and took them all to the aft cabin, then winched them up through the same hatch you saw the inverter come down.
New episodes come out every Sunday, and cutting room floor shorts every Tuesday.
