27 Nothing ends well for us this week.
👋 Hey guys! Flow has thrown a lot of challenges our way in this first season here at For Love of Wind, and let me just say she’s not stopping now. Her defiance endures, but so does our resolve. So friends, we’re just going to embrace imperfection and get on with our adventure! Now instead of singing the dead battery blues, we’re cranking up the volume on a happier tune… Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum..? 🥃
This week we continue attempts to revive our dead lithium batteries, we try to install a new anchor light and a new quick-release on our inner forestay, and we attempt to remedy our ongoing dog hair problem with a much-needed haircut for Zoya.

Sailing SV Flow - 2 people, 4 dogs, 0 experience We’re just a couple of middle-aged empty-nesters who are slightly prone to “Oooh-Shiny” Syndrome and sometimes lack the good sense to back down from a challenge. Granted, no one has ever accused us of leading boring lives; crazy, maybe, but not boring. We don’t do sweet, sane life-in-a-box. We do live in a near constant state of chaos, but chaos has become our friend and our mentor. Now we’ve really jumped off the deep end (pun definitely intended) and are taking on our biggest challenge yet- we are setting out on a circumnavigation of the globe in our 45' sailboat with our four dogs as unwitting accomplices. This new adventure promises to shape and mold our lives in ways we’ve only imagined. We invite you to follow along with us as we turn the page on this new chapter. And don’t worry- while you are starting in the middle of our story, you, my friend, have the benefit of skipping right to the best chapter!
