12 Being stranded doesn't seem so bad!
Last week we set out on a star-crossed voyage with dreams of electric blue waters, white sandy beaches and soaking up sunshine with cocktails in hand- but the tides quickly turned and what should have been a champagne sail was doomed to end in disaster. Now with a damaged prop shaft and wounded pride, we must limp back to shore for another round of repairs and another dose of “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” Check it out in our latest episode, now LIVE!
In this week’s episode, we head to Fort Pierce to address a vibration in the prop shaft, and while Flow sits on the hook we take the opportunity to organize the galley, visit one of the many small islands in the area for a pick-me-up, and test our new headsets!

Sailing SV Flow - 2 people, 4 dogs, 0 experience We’re just a couple of middle-aged empty-nesters who are slightly prone to “Oooh-Shiny” Syndrome and sometimes lack the good sense to back down from a challenge. Granted, no one has ever accused us of leading boring lives; crazy, maybe, but not boring. We don’t do sweet, sane life-in-a-box. We do live in a near constant state of chaos, but chaos has become our friend and our mentor. Now we’ve really jumped off the deep end (pun definitely intended) and are taking on our biggest challenge yet- we are setting out on a circumnavigation of the globe in our 45' sailboat with our four dogs as unwitting accomplices. This new adventure promises to shape and mold our lives in ways we’ve only imagined. We invite you to follow along with us as we turn the page on this new chapter. And don’t worry- while you are starting in the middle of our story, you, my friend, have the benefit of skipping right to the best chapter!
