March 26, 2023 by followtheboat | Language: EN Play Time: 00:59:59 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

Sailing in Southeast Asia is as easy or as difficult as you make it. Like any part of the world, it is planning and preparation that keep you safe and happy on a sailboat. We believe it is no more dangerous or difficult than any other area, in fact we think it’s often safer!
In our latest VIDEO PODCAST, we talk about our experiences over the last 10 years of sailing in Southeast Asia, through Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Although cruising in this unique sailing ground is an incredible experience that should be on every cruiser’s bucket list, there are some challenges to think about. In this video podcast we chat about the difficulties and challenges of sailing in SE Asia, bust the myths, and cover off subjects like:
⚆ Sailing conditions – is it all just motoring?
⚆ Weather – typhoons, monsoons, squalls
⚆ Cultural differences
⚆ Language
⚆ Dangers – pirates, weather, navigation
⚆ Clearance – visas, vaccinations etc
