Hanging out with Super Yachts and Sailing to Greece’s Most Beautiful Islands – Episode 45
In this episode, we join the Dutch Sailing Family on their incredible journey as they explore Greece’s stunning islands. After enjoying a fun-filled time with kid boats in Paros, they set sail for calmer waters and encounter an unforgettable adventure along the way.
Visiting CFO Bay on Milos
The family heads to the world-famous CFO Bay on the beautiful island of Milos. While there, they visit with other boats, including super yachts, making it a memorable experience. They also finally receive and install their new RNA anchor.
Historical Sites and Ancient Wonders
After exploring Milos, the Dutch Sailing Family visits Delos, one of the most significant mythological, historical, and archaeological sites in Greece. Walking through the island’s rich history is truly awe-inspiring.
Anchor Trouble Resolved
The family faces an anchor issue when they lose their anchor while sailing to Rina, with waves crashing over the deck of their boat. But a local sailor, Panos, helps them retrieve and use his anchor, ultimately solving the problem.
Exploring Amoros
The Dutch Sailing Family arrives at Amoros and rents a car to explore the island’s beauty, including the incredible Amoros monastery set amidst stunning cliffs. They also visit the famous Olympia shipwreck.
A Day of Fishing
While in Amoros, the family tries their hand at fishing behind the boat using lures. Despite initially slow progress, they manage to catch a good number of fish, which they enjoy for dinner that evening.
Reliving Their Adventures and Looking Ahead
This episode ends with the Dutch Sailing Family reflecting on their memorable time sailing through Greece. They discuss plans for future destinations and invite viewers to join them as they continue their extraordinary journey around the world, discovering new adventures at every turn.
We hang out next to super yachts at the world famous Kleftiko Beach in Milos. But there's so much more in this jam-packed episode!
We start off anchored for shelter for the Meltemi on the south side of Paros.
Then we sail to Milos and visit Gerakas Beach, Tsigrado Beach and Kleftiko.
We continue our sail past the Sikia Cave and visit Adamantas and an ancient amfitheater on the north of Milos.
We then sail to Rinea and Mykonos, called Greece's windiest island for a good reason!
We receive, unpack and install our new Rocna anchor.
We celebrate Lilly's birthday.
And we sail on to Amorgos to anchor in the amazing Nikouria anchorage and then visit the monastery and the Olympia shipwreck.
