THE FREEZER IS EMPTY!! Sailing to Cape Vidal. When there is no food in the fridge you gotta go fishing! So we take a friend sailing to catch some dinner! Our friend Steven is keen to go fishing on our sailboat, so after checking the weather forecast, we set off sailing up the coast to catch some fish and hopefully fill the freezer.
We sail to a spot just past Cape Vidal and then spend some time fishing in the early hours of the morning before turning back and sailing back to Richards Bay.
Robin catches a cuta or King Mackerel. Unfortunately Charlotte was seasick and unable to film!! But we do enjoy freshly made ceviche while sailing along.
At this time of the year the annual whale migration along the east coast of Africa is in full swing. We sail past countless humpback whale pods, including mothers with their new born calves. They are on their return voyage back to the Antarctic.
