We are the Drifters and are sailing around South Africa! We plan to sail to Durban but don’t make it! Did we mean to sail up a river? Not really… So why are we moored on the Buffalo River in East London, on the east coast of South Africa?
John, from Sailing Port Elizabeth, give us advise about sailing the wild coast and goes through in depth detail with Robin on chart plotting and navigation. We set sail and find ourselves cruising along at a good speed. Robin throws out a handline and we catch two skipjack tuna! Fresh fish is always a treat. We enjoy being a sailing fishing boat:-) and living off what the ocean provides.
Charlotte only gets seasick once!
You’ll see some fun dinghy cruising and a delicious, inexpensive, lunch at Sea Spirit fish market. A rustic, chilled out spot up the river. Perfect for our alternative family life.
Thanks for watching!
Much love,
Captain Robin, Charlotte and sailor girl Moya
