Are YOU using the PLANNING feature on WINDY?
February 12, 2022 by DRIFTING sailing adventures | Language: ZXX Play Time: 00:07:38 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

Are you using the PLANNING feature on WINDY? Do you know how to use Windy.com? Many sailors we’ve met use the Windy app but don’t know about the distance and planning feature. In this video Robin shows us how to use the Windy app and how we plan our sailing passages using this forecasting model. When it comes to planning offshore sailing passages, nothing matters more than the weather.
We have been using this weather forecasting app for many years and find it fairly accurate and this is all on the free version! You can subscribe to Windy.com but we find all this information on the free version and its great!
If you want to know how to use the distance and planning feature on Windy or just to find out how we plan our sailing trips, this video is very informative and will help guide you through some details that you may not be aware of.
Thanks for watching!
Much love,
Moya, Charlotte and Robin
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PLANNING FEATURE IS ONLY AVAILABLE ON THE DESKTOP VERSION OF APP AND ONLY ON THE ECMWF WEATHER MODEL.
