ANCIENT SAILING TECHNIQUES. Drifting Ep. 68

In this video, we introduce you to Max, a local Kenyan dhow captain who unravels the mysteries of traditional dhow sailing, explaining the equipment and skills needed to navigate these beautiful wooden vessels. We’re then treated to put the theory into practice… from learning the ropes to understanding the dance between wind and sail. And the best part…. we finally get to witness the gorgeous carmine bee eaters in their natural habitat, adding to the magic of the day!

The second part of our video takes a fun twist as we invite friends to join us on a dinghy expedition. We set out to find the perfect beach spot for a proper South African braai!
Full of laughter, good company and of course delicous boerewors!

Thanks for watching!
Much love,
Captain Robin, Charlotte and sailor girl Moya!
