We intended to spend seven to ten days in the City of Makassar, our final stop in Sulawesi. That was the plan. The reality was, we discovered so much to see and do in Makassar, three weeks passed before we could drag ourselves away. The history, culture, people, food, events, amazing countryside and so much more, all conspired to keep us for far longer than intended and it was ALL WORTH IT.
So before we take you west with us, sailing to Borneo and beyond, let’s take a quick look at how Makassar stole our hearts.
