Transatlantic Passage #8. 1000 Miles down. New Crew? Spinnaker Sailing for the first time.

Ep111 – In this episode of Cruising Off Duty, we continue our Transatlantic Sailing Passage series. In this episode we cross the 1000 mile mark and we are boarded by a bird that really wanted to be our new crew. He just wouldn’t take no for and answer. The winds were so light that our usual wing on wing sail plan, that we have been using, wouldn’t work so we decided to break out the Spinnaker that the owner had on the boat.

We made sushi for the first time with store bought fish and it was so good we got really motivated to start fishing. At this point of the trip we had not started trying to fish by dragging a line but after this day we did and we caught Tuna, Mahi Mahi and Dorado in upcoming episodes
