Transatlantic Passage #11. Swimming In The Middle Of The Atlantic and Sushi from our 1st Fish.

Ep114 – In this episode of Cruising Off Duty, we continue our Transatlantic Sailing Passage series. We cover days 13 and 14 of the passage. The wind dies so much we have to drift in the middle of the Ocean. We take this opportunity to swim 800 miles from the closest land and where the depth is 7000 feet. We have a Spinnaker block that is squeaking so loud it is driving us crazy so Paul goes to the top of the mast to try and fix it. Plus, we catch our first fish, a tuna, and we make a delicious meal of sushi and breaded fillets out of it. It was a great few days of laughs and beautiful weather with a few perfect sunrises and sunsets. Now if we could only get some sustained winds the passage would be perfect. We are falling farther and farther behind schedule.
