In this Episode of Cruising Off Duty we get some editing help but unfortunately, the new editor had to deal with lost footage. The footage the new editor was given was of us sailing to Picton Ontario, but all of the footage from the Vlog Camera, where Janice and I do most of our talking to the camera, was lost somewhere? Probably to the bowels of our boat.
I learned a valuable lesson. Especially on a moving boat, as soon as you take an SD card out of your camera, don’t put it down and assume you are going to download it onto your hard drive later. It will most likely get lost.
During this episode, I also put out a call for anyone that lives in the Ottawa area that wants to join the channel and become my video sidekick. It is always easier to film travels, activities and demonstrations of new gear when you have someone else filming with you. So if you are interested, send me an email introducing yourself to [email protected]
I not only have a new camera, the Sony A7iii, but I am also getting a bunch of new lenses and a new gimbal so I plan to make some episodes showcasing how this new camera gear can be used to get more cinematic shots and the Ottawa area seems like a perfectly cinematic area to demo this new gear for the channel.
If you are interested in what gear I presently own and use you can go to www.CruisingOffDuty.com and click on the “My Gear” page or you can download the CruisingOffDuty app for iOS and Android and hit the Gear Icon in the App. That gear list will be constantly updated as I acquire new gear. There will be photos of each product and links to Amazon to show you the latest prices and reviews found there. I the future, I am planning to have short demonstration videos of each product where I will show the Pros and Cons of each item. So check it out.
Hopefully, you enjoy this episode. If so, show the channel some love and give it a thumbs up.
Thanks,
Craig
