Off Grid Solar-Powered, Wood Boiler Heated, ICF House Build. Mid-Winter Update.
February 06, 2025 by Cruising Off Duty | Language: EN Play Time: 00:28:11 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

This is the latest update on the progress of the Off-Grid house build as of Feb 5, 2025. Things have mostly gone well. A few setbacks and the Solar system still needs some bugs worked out, but overall we are happy with the progress.
The Woodboiler is a Heatmaster G10000 gasification model pumped through pipes in the floor of the house and the garage with 2 separate zones to control the heat level in each. It has been working really well. Almost too efficient as it often closes the damper to cool down the water because the ICF is so energy efficient that once it is heated, it keeps the heat in and doesn’t require more hot water.
The Solar system has a few bugs but we are working it out with Enphase and I think we have it properly working just as I produced this video. A future video will go into more detail on it.
