Looking for help making Cruising Off Duty. Videographer and Editor.
March 30, 2017 by Cruising Off Duty | Language: EN Play Time: 00:06:10 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

With Sailing season just around the corner, things are busy. I am having trouble finding the time to edit the episodes I already have filmed. I am looking to my viewers to pass the word to any people that have some videography skills or Editing Skill (Using Final Cut Pro X) that wants to help in the production of this channel. I’d like to increase the quantity and probably quality of the sailing videos I put out this summer and since I will be busy being the captain of the sailboat, I will not have time to also be the Videographer and Editor. So I am looking for HELP!
Videographer – Should have experience and preferably can show me some links to videos they have filmed. Don’t worry about having a ton of your own equipment as I have a couple of Cameras already (G7X and GH4) and a ton of lenses to go on the GH4. If I get a assistance in Videography, I am looking to add the Panasonic GH5 to my stable of cameras. I have plenty of lenses that will work on both the GH4 and GH5. I also have 2 drones that can be used in the production. My Q500 4K and my Mavic Pro (also 4k). Anyone taking on the role of the videographer will obviously be given access to these drones to get aerial shots.
Editor – Should have experience using Final Cut Pro X. If you don’t have a computer with Final Cut Pro X installed then you will be welcome to use by system and software at my home office.
Those who become part of the video and production team will be brought out on the sailboat this summer to help film and experience the beauty of sailing in the 1000 Island area of the St Lawrence and the Great Lakes. You will be part of the episodes and you will be credited at the end of the video, and in the video description, documenting your role.
The editor will work closely with me to get the episodes looking polished, so that person should probably live in the Ottawa area so we can meet and collaborate easily.
The Videographer (could me more than one. If one is busy another may be called) could be from Ottawa, but it may also make sense to live near Kingston, Ontario where the boat is going to be based out of for the foreseeable future.
Those interested should email me (Craig) at CruisingOffDuty@Gmail.com . Give me an idea of your experience and if you have produced a video, please send a link to it so I can check it out.
I hope to speak to some of you soon. Looking forward to bringing this channel to the next level with you.
Thanks,
Craig and Janice.
