Going Cruising to get to Scuba Dive 3 different Caribbean Islands. Cayman, Roatan, Belize. Ep118

Ep118. In most episodes of Cruising Off Duty, the “Cruising” refers to cruising on a sailboat but in this episode, we are actually going Cruising on a Cruise Ship. Janice and I love taking cruises to economically get us around to see different islands in the Caribbean. Last year we got our Scuba qualifications just prior to chartering a catamaran for a week in the BVI (covered in Ep 43-55). We want to Scuba Dive at least once a year to keep our certifications current.

This is our 7th Cruise and we have tried others but come back to Carnival Cruises because they seem slightly cheaper and Carnival markets their cruises as “Fun Ships” and that is certainly the case as the guests are a lot more lively and there are fun activities going on all the time on the ship. This cruise ship took us to Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize and Cozumel. We were able to take excursions at the first 3 stops and did 2 tank dives at each. In Cozumel the dive excursion was cancelled prior to our arrival so we ended up doing a Dune Buggy excursion. It was fun but we hear the Scuba in Cozumel is great so we will have to go back another time.

This episode is the first of what will be a few episodes covering the entire trip. We hope you enjoy it. If so, like, share and subscribe to the channel for more.

Thanks for watching,
Craig and Janice

PS – Somehow my small camera bag with my usual main camera, Panasonic GH5, and my usual Vlog Camera, Canon G7Xii, were accidentally left in the trunk of the car and didn’t make the trip to the Cruise Ship. In my backpack I did have my GoPro 5, my Mavic Pro Drone and my GH4, but I ended up shooting most of this episode using my iPhone X. It actually did a pretty good job.

If you are interested in any of the Camera Gear I Usually use or the Mavic Pro I use as my drone, you can go to the following Amazon links. If you purchase anything after going through this link, it helps support the channel by giving us a few shekels and it doesn’t cost you a thing extra.
