How much does it cost to sail around the world? Do you have a lot of money saved? What is your boat life monthly budget? How much does YouTube pay? How much did all the stuff on your boat cost? All of these questions are ones we get asked a lot, so thought we’d give you an honest (painfully so) simple video with this information! We found it difficult when we were first looking at sailing to know exactly what everything cost, partially because every boat, every person, every country, and every budget makes for a completely different experience! But also we found people a little reluctant to discuss exactly what they had spent or how much they earned (which is totally fair) but we wanted to make a video that other people like us may want to watch. Discussing all the money we have put into the boat so far was a little disturbing to say the least 😂 but we feel it was money well spent!

Chasing Currents
Two clueless brits sailing a small 28ft sailboat around the world. Through our love of the ocean, adventure and exploring, we came to the idea of buying a boat to travel the world. With no experience, a modest budget, and no clue about what we were looking for, we started viewing some boats and did a lot of reading. Mostly led by our naivety, we felt like we were equipped for the challenge – so we went all in and spent our savings on a boat. We’ve saved enough money for one year's travelling and plan to make the most of this by living as frugally as possible, while still feeling free on the ocean. Most importantly, we want to make sure that our lifestyle has no negative effects on the places we visit and the people living in them. We try to live as sustainably as possible, and want to encourage other people to do the same. We hope to share not only our story, but the stories of other people we meet as well. Thanks for joining us for what we hope is going to be quite the adventure.
