Being still inexperienced sailors, this was quite an ambitious challenge for us. We had only ever sailed in the Solent, and decided rather than doing what everyone suggested and break up the journey into smaller stints- we would do it all in a couple of days! This gave us some valuable sailing experience, all in preparation for our Bay of Biscay crossing in the very near future (between 4 and 6 days at sea) and we saw our first DOLPHINS.

Chasing Currents
Two clueless brits sailing a small 28ft sailboat around the world. Through our love of the ocean, adventure and exploring, we came to the idea of buying a boat to travel the world. With no experience, a modest budget, and no clue about what we were looking for, we started viewing some boats and did a lot of reading. Mostly led by our naivety, we felt like we were equipped for the challenge – so we went all in and spent our savings on a boat. We’ve saved enough money for one year's travelling and plan to make the most of this by living as frugally as possible, while still feeling free on the ocean. Most importantly, we want to make sure that our lifestyle has no negative effects on the places we visit and the people living in them. We try to live as sustainably as possible, and want to encourage other people to do the same. We hope to share not only our story, but the stories of other people we meet as well.
