Next trip after having enjoyed the real luxury of Tutka Bay was to fly to the real wilderness on the other side of the Cook Inlet to Stonewood Lodge. Sometimes it seems nice to live in a lodge 90 minutes flight from the nearest shop but we still haven’t been pushed that far in this crazy world. Must admit that I borrowed some bear pictures from Darlene since the salmon was already gone at the falls and it therefore did not make sense to fly that far south. We did see a lot of bears ourselves in Funnel Creek just south of Iliamna Lake.
