Cannes Boat Show, test drive Lagoon 52S and a visit to the Lagoon factory in Bordeaux in search of our new catamaran after selling Lagoon 39 Breinwave.
Short Summary of our visit to Boat Dusseldorf by Watersport-TV.nl.
In the next episode we try kitesurfing for the first time at Bonaire Kiteschool, so we hopefully get the basics before we launch Greatcircle in less than 2 weeks.
Next to our visit to the Lagoon factory in Bordeaux we had a look in La Rochelle where we will perform all final preparations with Nautisch Kwartier before we cross the Bay of Biscay (hopefully) mid February.
Doesn't seem smart to start using our new kite without any lessons, but the lake is frozen over completely and departure of the Greatcircle is only a couple of weeks ahead. Thanks Kjeld and Lars for your patience at Bonaire Kiteschool.
Nice images from the sky as we leave Porto towards the south. The first scheduled maintenance of the engines is planned for next Monday in Cascais, so we'll probably skip Lisboa and head directly there.
Right in the first couple of weeks after delivery of Greatcircle in Bordeaux the cat was tested in some challenging conditions. Flying from Gibraltar to Ibiza with over 50 knots of wind in the back. May have broken the all time speed record with a Lagoon w...
Great sailing conditions to continu to Mallorca. This will be Florian's final leg before he flies home to France again. Thanks again Flo for all your help.
Crossing from Mallorca to Mahon at the east side of Menorca and via the north to the beautiful city of Ciutadella in the west.
20.11.2017 : video got blocked on some kind of afterburner copyright claim on the Kind of Cool song; had to delete the second so...
Back in France in the magnificent town of Collioure. Afterwards we bring the boat to Canet-en-Roussillon where BMS prepares the boat for the multihull boat show in La Grande Motte (April 19-23).
We arrive early at the Salon International de Multicoque in LGM, so we're able to see the amount of work involved to set up a show like this. Good location to verify the choices we've made, to meet quite a lot of YouTube followers and to make new friends.
Happened today on our trip from Cassis to Porquerolles. Sorry about the quality, we were somewhat taken by surprise as well and the sea wasn't exactly calm.
We stay in La Grande Motte for a couple of days where the service team of Nautisch Kwartier comes aboard for the finishing touch. They install the solar panels, some wooden floors for the storage rooms, a new propeller for the dinghy and some smaller thing...
Extra episode to welcome all new subscribers over the last couple of weeks. This time we leave La Grande Motte for the islands in front of Marseille, Cassis, Ile de Porquerolles, Port Grimaud and St. Tropez.
There's always someone with a bigger, faster and/or stranger boat as you can clearly see in the blue waters around Monaco on our way to Italy. Had to change the last song to enable viewing on a mobile device.
Before we sail to Cinque Terre we wait for the sun to return and the effects of stronger winds further to the south to diminish. Rainy day in the town next to Portofino, but as always plenty to see and do.
Sailing to Cinque Terre is a good way to visit the extraordinary villages, especially if you choose to go ashore early morning and in the evening when the masses aren't there yet. Anchoring is possible, depending of course on weather conditions.
Just enough wind to sail south via Capraia Isola to Corsica. In this episode we cover the first part of Corsica rounding "the feather" in the north to Saint Florent and L'Ile Rousse. In the next episodes we continue from Calvi to Bonafacio and Ile de Caval...
Sailing the west coast of Corsica with busier towns like Calvi and Ajaccio, charming tourist stops like Girolata and Porto, and deserted bays like Cala Longa.
Heading to the magnificent Bonifacio on the south side of Corsica before we head for a couple of turquoise bays on the islands between Corsica and Sardinia
Bonus mid-week episode to welcome the 2000th subscription. Rain and storm in Sardinia, but still some nice images and colors, before we head east towards Napoli, about 200Nm from Sardinia.
After the crossing from Sardinia we arrive at a couple of beautiful islands 50 miles west of Napoli. As we are in Salerno for maintenance, I am able to catch up a bit before we continu towards Sicily and Greece.
Fantastic islands on our way to Napoli, after Ponza, Ventotene, Ischia & Procida.
Something AWESOME is coming!
