Nice sail from Kefalonia to Agias Nikolaos on Zakynthos where we go to the superb restaurant Nobelos and our friends take a plane home. We will cross to Sicily again and use the available time to visit the magnificent town of Assos on the westside of Kefal...
We discover serious damage to our crossbeam as the Code 0 pole has pierced the front during our last sail from Kefalonia to Zakynthos. After taking some extra safety measures we decide to continue to Sicily as the repairs will have to be done in Canet-en-R...
As our friends take the ferry from Stromboli to Sicily again we sail the 370 miles to a bay just south of Olbia on Sardinia. Plenty of people there showing their expensive toys in a never ending competition of big, bigger, biggest. We make new friends in P...
After sailing to a beautiful anchorage just south of Bonifacio we make a stop at the Anse de Cacalu anchorage near Ajaccio before crossing 125 miles to Saint Tropez.
We stay a couple of days between the big yachts in the Bay of Saint Tropez and Port Grimaud, where we meet our friends. After a magnificent firework show we sail to Les Porquerolles, Le Camargue and finally towards La Grand Motte and Le Grau-du-Roi. Only 7...
We get the chance to have a look at the Outremer and Gunboat factories and on Gunboat 6802 Dash before we sail the final leg to Collioure and Canet for the repair of the cross beam.
We're finally in Canet-en-Roussillion where our cross beam will be replaced by Atelier Greement. We meet a lot of boats and crew preparing for the Cannes Boat Show and/or the ARC.
We're invited to join Pierre on his Outremer 5X BioTrek from La Grande Motte to the Cannes Yachting Festival. Challenging weather forecast, but the wind will be from the right direction. 156Nm in exactly 12 hours, 13 knots on average over all and much high...

The repairs in Canet are going perfect so while they get finalized we have time to visit Cannes Yachting Festival and take a good look at all the different cats.
Dave & Monica from Hawaii have seen almost all of the Greatcircle videos AND spoil us to ...
All's well that ends well? After the first scare the cross beam damage and the resulting visits to Canet and Cannes have brought us a lot of positive encounters and developments. Time to continue our journey to the start of the ARC, we should still be able...
When you weren't watching we were crashing a wedding in Moraira, close to Valencia. From there we picked the days that we wouldn't have to beat upwind in the direction of Gibraltar. A lot of sailing but it all turned out pretty well. On our way out we met ...
In the last episode before we leave the European mainland we sail to Ferragudo and Alvor in the Portuguese Algarve. From here we will make a first 500 miles crossing to Madeira somewhere next week.
The new episode is not ready yet. Couldn't push myself to finish it after the tragic death of our faithful companion, only 3 years and 3 months all. We already shared a lot of adventures but now she swims with the fishies….
There's a storm coming our way and an unusual low around the Acores. No way we can go upwind to Madeira. We decide to wait until the risk of 60 knots winds has passed and change our destination to Lanzarote, the first Canary. Not really a problem spending ...
Madeira is not an option, against the wind and afterwards no wind. Next best alternative is to head straight to Lanzarote. Wout & Claire are going to help us on the crossing, making sure that we get enough sleep and of course just for the fun of it. Ch...
A lot of sailing going on as we sail together with @sailingyachteight from Lanzarote via Fuerteventura to marina Las Palmas where the ARC 2019 will start on November 24th.
Well we might have a premiere this time. Outremer will soon launch an entirely new model between the 51 and 5X. We fell for the beautiful design in which comfort, looks and speed are combined. We'll get one of the first 7, ours will be handed over somewher...
As part of the extensive program in preparation for the Atlantic crossing we witness a demonstration of an evacuation by helicopter. The weather is very calm, imagine this happening in different circumstances …..
Tomorrow (24.11.2019) we'll start our Atlantic crossing from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Santa Lucia in the Caribbean. Pretty busy program, with last preparations, parties and meeting new friends
After a pretty fast first day we have to get a bit more creative in finding the smartest route towards Santa Lucia as there is very limited wind for a couple of days. Should we go south towards the steady trade winds or stay close to the great circle cours...
Second week on the ocean. The wind is slowly picking up while we try to find the optimum between a northerly and a more southerly route. We rip the Wingaker so we have to rely on our magic Code 0 even more.
New music in this version as the previous one wa...
Last couple of days of our Transatlantic crossing from Las Palmas to Saint Lucia. Wind and waves pick up a bit but still very smooth sailing and seems like we finished not to bad after all in a field of 40 cats.
We stay in the marina until the closing party of the ARC. WHile we're there we witness the arrival of our friends from Scilla, Eight, Idéfix and Solmate. Together with Sander and Nicolette we tour around the island to Marigot Bay, Soufriere and the Naked ...
We recently bought a new boat, a new model Outremer that is announced at Boot Düsseldorf January 2020. After 1 year on a L39 and almost 3 years on the L52S we now want to make a next step to a performance cat.
The new boat will be delivered in 2021 so we...
After collecting the repaired Wingaker at North Sails we sail together with Eight and Scilla towards Le Marin and Sainte Anne on Martinique. Interesting kind of people anchoring in the bay …
Scilla joins us further north where we meet up with Idefix aga...
First part sailing around Guadeloupe and its satellite islands. In this part we sail from Dominica to Les Saintes and pick up Sander from the airport on the main island of Guadeloupe.
After a week on a mooring in Les Saintes with violent gusts and plenty of showers we take the first chance to cross towards Basse Terre along the west coast of Guadeloupe. Idéfix and Mareas have survived it a day before so we should be OK.
Where the fore...
