Ep 8: Inflatable Dinghy Repair
November 29, 2019 by Carpe Diem Sailing | Language: EN Play Time: 00:00:05:25 | SAILING YOUTUBERS
Welcome to Ep 8 of Carpe Diem Sailing. In this episode I do some emergency repairs to my inflatable dinghy while out cruising this past summer. My rubbing strake was coming off and I didn’t notice it till just before we left. I bought some very expensive glue for hypalon and PVC but then found out that it was very complicated to use so I turned to some sealant that I had bought somewhere in a marine supply store and it worked really well, at least for a temporary repair, but now months later it’s holding firm. Not bad for a $5 tube of contact cement! OK! It’s more than just contact cement. It’s waterproof and oil and solvent resistant. Check it out!
