HUGE Rigging Issue Found – 30 Year Old Inspection on Sophisticated Lady | SSL773
After our first sea trials, we return to the marina for a critical professional rigging inspection on our 30-year-old original rigging. A rigger climbs the mast to thoroughly check terminals, corrosion, spreaders, and overall condition.
We discuss replacement options (1x19 wire, Sta-Lok fittings, rod rigging, Dyneema), insurance requirements, and why we’re being very careful before making this big decision.
Plus: beautiful sunset in Cartagena Bay, meeting Brazilian fans Bruno & Serea, and a big thank-you pizza party for the marina team as we prepare to depart!
