We dig into our engine issues after arriving into St. Augustine in an eventual manner, under tow from Boat U.S. After poking around our fuel system, it seems we made a user error rather than having a fuel issue (at least this time…). After getting the engine back up and running we decide to change the secondary and pump filters to be extra cautious.
Now that we have a a functioning engine its time to keep trekking south. We are so thankful to be back in the sun and warm(ish) temperatures. The 300+nm dash south made a huge difference in terms of sun and weather! We enjoy the sights & abundant birds cruising down the Florida ICW
Our timing is fortunate and we are able to watch a Falcon 9 spaceship launch from Cape Canaveral. Grace filmed it hanging out on the boat while Bill and his buddies went to an island to make a bonfire while waiting for the launch. What a cool thing to see !
TEASER: After one last stall under a drawbridge we finally properly tear apart the fuel system with Brian from S/V Delos and find our “smoking gun” that has been plaguing us the entire trip south! Tune in next week!
